“This is not to suggest that writers self-identified as Marxists… have not produced insightful accounts and critiques of sport within capitalist societies. They have done and continued to do so as this collection itself shows” (page 15).

His co-author continues on page 43, “… there are struggles that haven’t been fought and still need to be waged over the various forms of oppression and the exploitive practice in sport.”

Colt McCoy, be aware of this guys classes. To note as of Fall 2009, he is currently teaching Race, Sport, and Identity and Sociology of Sport. He is a typical academic that inserts two parts race and one part gender into every issue with a twist of Marx.
